Embroidery machines sew out or stitch designs based on specific instructions telling it the exact location of every stitch, every color used, and the exact sequence and order that it needs to be sewn in. This process is called digitizing.
All images must be converted to a digitized format so the embroidery machines have the proper instructions to control the sewing head and stitch locations. If you can provide us with a proper digitized format and instructions there is no charge for the digitizing cost of your garments.
If you need us to create the digitized format and instructions we will do so as a once only fee per design. Please note, any changes in thread colors, image size, or general design will require new digitizing.
Digitizing fees are based on the overall number of stitches that it takes to create your design. Complexity has more to do with stitch count than does the size of your overall design. However, both contribute to your total stitch count. Since there isn't any way to guestimate the size of your embroidery stitch count prior to actually creating it, we charge a base rate of $100 for all embroidery designs. You will receive a credit, refund and/or additional invoice based on the final computer model and exact number of stitches used. Based on a minimum of $45 or $6 per 1000 stitches. Whichever is greater.
Example 1: Your final digitized image uses 7,000 stitches = $45(min fee) credit and refund issued $55.
Example 2: Your final digitized image uses 16,000 stitches = $96 credit and refund issued $4.
Example 3: Your final digitized images uses 19,000 stitches = $114 invoice issued for $14.
NOTE: If digitizing is created prior to the actual purchasing of your embroidered garments our custom quote department/order department will adjust your garment invoice accordingly. This is suggested. However, we are very willing to issue refunds or additional invoice after the fact if digitizing in embroidered garments are purchased at the same time.
